This week on the Tapers Section, first, all audience recordings. No soundboard here, this is pure taping. Second, I'm dabbling in some longer play stuff. As anyone will tell you, and perhaps comically, JamBands are known for longer songs and playing segments without song breaks. This first track from the Grateful Dead really shows that. 20 minutes long, with an unexpected segue into Bertha, exactly what makes jambands special. And I threw in a couple great local performances from Dangermuffin and Ralph Stanley at Boone Hall. Fun stuff.
