The Tapers Section is a show dedicated to live music recording. Most notably in the Jam Band circuit; with somewhat of a focus on shows recorded in and around the Charleston area. The latter portion of the show is devoted to local artists and their live performances.

This week on the Tapers Section is a discussion on transferring tapes for the other tapers. Recordings need to be circulated, meaning: recordings need to be heard. There are some tapers who make tapes and never distribute them to the public. I am of the notion that those recordings need to be circulated. So, I get tapes from other tapers when i Have time and distribute them. Today's show is about that. The quest for recordings of great shows that need to be shared and heard. For a Northern Exposure reference: a violin that is locked in a safe will lose its tone. Perhaps so will these tapes…
